In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, SM Supermalls and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) are once again joining forces to host the "Araw ng Kalayaan" Job Fairs. On June 12, 2026, 20 SM malls across the country will serve as one-stop hubs for jobseekers, reinforcing a long-standing partnership dedicated to accessible employment.
This initiative builds on a successful track record. From January to May 2026 alone, the SM-DOLE collaboration has mounted 66 job fairs, serving over 57,000 applicants and facilitating more than 6,000 hired-on-the-spot (HOTS) placements.
Jobs Today, Skills for Tomorrow
The Independence Day fairs go beyond traditional recruitment. Recognizing the need for a future-ready workforce, the events will feature upskilling sessions in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), TESDA, and Jobstreet. Jobseekers can gain insights into high-demand fields, including:
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Cybersecurity
Digital Marketing
Data Analytics
Virtual Assistance
A One-Stop Employment Hub
To simplify the hiring process, the job fairs integrate government support services directly into the mall environment. Applicants can process essential documents through on-site booths hosted by the NBI, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE, and local Public Employment Service Offices (PESO).
