NVIDIA, Nokia, and Global Telcos Transform Wireless Networks into AI Distributed Platforms

Global telecom leaders including T-Mobile, BT, Deutsche Telekom, and Elisa are rolling out NVIDIA-powered computing across live mobile networks. By leveraging Nokia's CUDA accelerated software running on specialized NVIDIA Aerial RAN hardware, carrier networks can process artificial intelligence tasks right at the edge of cell towers. T-Mobile confirmed completion of the world's first AI RAN call on an active commercial network, proving that telecom infrastructure can run wireless data traffic and real-time AI agents simultaneously.  

This transition allows telecommunication hubs to operate as localized data centers, reducing latency for mobile users and improving spectrum efficiency. Operators are adopting open source Nemotron models to automate network maintenance and deploy agentic AI assistants directly to consumer devices without routing requests through distant servers.

Switching over to gaming news, Microsoft revealed its latest Xbox Game Pass catalog update covering late October through early November 2026. Square Enix's flagship RPG Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade officially leads the incoming wave.

AI RAN (Artificial Intelligence Radio Access Network) allows telecommunication carriers to run AI processing workloads on the same hardware that powers mobile phone towers. Instead of relying on distant cloud data centers, cellular networks can process real-time AI commands locally, lowering response times for end users while boosting network performance.
