1,193 Horsepower and 1,003 KM Range: BYD's Premium Denza N8 EV Pre-Sales Set for Late October

1,193 Horsepower and 1,003 KM Range: BYD's Premium Denza N8 EV Pre-Sales Set for Late October
BYD's luxury sub-brand Denza has officially set October 26, 2026, as the start date for non-binding pre-orders for its refreshed all-electric N8 SUV. Built on BYD's advanced e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture, the five-seater SUV packs a flagship tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup capable of 1,193 horsepower alongside high-speed flash charging technology. The announcement comes right as BYD expands its EV presence across Asian and global markets, ahead of full commercial deliveries slated for November.

Next-Gen e-Platform 3.0 Architecture and Tri-Motor Performance

Moving away from its previous plug-in hybrid roots, the new Denza N8 EV has been completely re-engineered as a dedicated battery electric vehicle. The premium SUV adopts BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo framework, offering single-motor rear-wheel-drive configurations alongside a range-topping tri-motor all-wheel-drive variant. In its highest specification, the tri-motor drivetrain pushes output to 1,193 horsepower with a capped top speed of 240 km/h.

To support long-distance travel, the top trim packs a 130.15 kWh battery pack capable of achieving up to 1,003 km of range on the CLTC cycle. Single motor models feature 320 kW and 370 kW power output ratings, providing flexible options for luxury buyers.

High-Voltage Flash Charging and Market Placement

A core highlight of the updated Denza N8 is BYD's high-voltage flash charging capability. Designed to drastically reduce charging downtime at public stations, the charging setup allows the large SUV to top up battery capacity in minutes, aligning with BYD's broader rollout of flash-charging across its premium and mass-market lineups.

The 5-seat layout cleanly separates the N8 from the larger 6-seat Denza N8L, giving BYD a direct competitor against flagship electric SUVs from rival automakers.

BYD's Broader Global Momentum

The Denza N8 reservation announcement crowns a busy week of vehicle rollouts for BYD. Following the recent launches of the second-generation Seagull electric hatchback and the luxury Denza Z9S sedan, BYD continues to hold solid market dominance, including taking the third-place spot in overall automotive sales within key regional markets like the Philippines.
