While Microsoft hasn't officially announced Windows 12 yet, credible reports suggest that it will likely be released in late 2024. Here's what we know so far:
1. Release Date: Microsoft follows a yearly release cycle for major updates, typically launching them in the fall. Therefore, we can expect Windows 12 to be released in fall 2024.
2. Prototype Desktop Redesign: Codenamed "Next Valley," Microsoft has already revealed a prototype desktop redesign for Windows 12³. This redesign could bring exciting changes to the user interface.
3. AI Integration: Windows 12 is expected to come with AI magic. Microsoft has been incorporating AI features into its products, and Windows 12 won't be an exception. Users will be able to choose which components and features they want to install, and which ones they want to remove. This will make Windows more flexible and efficient. 💯
AI integration throughout the operating system, which will make Windows smarter and more helpful. Windows 12 will have a new AI chat feature, which will let users interact with Windows using natural language. Users will be able to ask questions, get suggestions, and perform tasks using voice or text. 🗣️
Smaller Windows updates, which will reduce the download size and installation time of Windows updates. Windows 12 will use a new file system called ReFS (Resilient File System), which will replace NTFS (New Technology File System).
