The popular stealth-action brought players to Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra plays a role, as does Julius Caesar. Play as a man named Bayek. A quest to avenge their son, Khemu. I haven't finished the game yet so I rather stop spoiling.
Origins did more to overhaul the gameplay. The gear system is as robust as Destiny 2 or Borderlands 3. Set on a staggeringly large map. Origins offered up an entire country for sneaking and stabbing.
The true draw of Origins with all Assassin’s Creed games is the historical tourism of the Nile and Mediterranean coast. Origins introduced the Discovery Tour with combat and missions are disabled. Replaced with historian-guided tours of famous relics.
